What does Home Page mean?

Home Page:

A home page is the name of the main page of a website which gives detailed information on its owner and where visitors can find hyperlinks to other pages in the site.

A home page is the initial page of a website, the ‘point of entry’ to all the information stored within. It's similar to the front page of a newspaper, but a home page contains links to a selection (or, in some cases, all) of the available content.

For a Web user, the home page is the first Web page that is displayed after starting a Web browser. The browser is usually preset so that the home page is the first page of the browser manufacturer. However, you can set it to open to any Web site.

For a Web site developer, a home page is the first page presented when a user selects a site or presence on the World Wide Web. The usual address for a Web site is the home page address, although you can enter the address/url(Uniform Resource Locator) of any page and have that page sent to you.

A home page is the initial page someone sees when he opens up a website on the Internet. Its look like a cover of a book or the front of a store. Also sometimes, it is called the front page or the opening page of a web site.
